Terms and Conditions of codex-grp
Welcome to codex-grp (the “Store”, “we”, “us”, “our”). We are an e-commerce platform registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt under Commercial Registration No. [ 10530 05002 62374] with our main headquarters at Cairo – Nasr City – Office No. (O52) – Property No. 44 Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim Street, off Abbas El Akkad Street – Eighth District.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website https://codex-grp.com (the “Site”) and all services and products offered through it. By using the Site or making a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Site: Refers to the Store’s electronic domain and all pages and content it contains.
- User: Any person who visits or browses the Site.
- Customer: A User who creates an account or completes a purchase transaction through the Site.
- Products: All goods offered for sale on the Site, including computers, laptops, components, accessories, and software.
2. Legal Eligibility and Account Use
2.1. The User affirms that they are of legal age (18 years) or is using the Site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
2.2. The Customer undertakes to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and is responsible for keeping it updated.
2.3. The Customer is fully responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account information and password, and for all activities that occur under their account.
2.4. The Customer must notify the Store immediately of any unauthorized use of their account.
3. Products and Pricing
3.1. We strive to display accurate images and descriptions of the Products. However, we do not guarantee that the images will be an exact match to the actual product, as they may be for illustrative purposes. The product’s technical specifications are the primary reference.
3.2. All prices displayed on the Site are in Egyptian Pounds (EGP).
3.3. Published prices are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) in accordance with Egyptian law. The VAT amount will be specified separately on the purchase invoice.
3.4. The Store reserves the right to modify Product prices at any time without prior notice. The applicable price for an order is the price in effect at the time the purchase is confirmed.
4. Orders and Payment
4.1. An order submitted by the Customer is considered an offer to purchase the Product. The order is not considered complete and binding until it is confirmed by the Store via email or another communication method.
4.2. The Store reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order for any reason, such as product unavailability, an error in pricing or product description, or suspicion of a fraudulent transaction.
4.3. Available payment methods are: Credit Cards (Visa/MasterCard), Digital Wallets, Cash on Delivery.
4.4. All electronic payment transactions are secured through payment gateways that comply with international security standards.
5. Shipping and Delivery
5.1. Orders are delivered to the address specified by the Customer during the checkout process.
5.2. The expected delivery period is [2-7 business days] within the Arab Republic of Egypt. This period is an estimate and may be affected by circumstances beyond our control.
5.3. The Customer bears the shipping costs, which are clarified before the payment is completed.
5.4. Upon receiving the shipment, the Customer must sign for receipt and inspect the product to ensure it is intact and free of any visible damage. In case of damage, the shipping company and the Store must be notified immediately.
5.5. Ownership and risk of loss for the Product transfer to the Customer upon their signature on the delivery receipt.
6. Return and Exchange Policy
6.1. In accordance with the Egyptian Consumer Protection Law, the Customer has the right to return or exchange a Product within 14 days from the date of receipt.
6.2. Conditions for accepting a return/exchange:
* The Product must be in its original condition, unused, and in its original packaging with all accessories.
* The original purchase invoice must be included.
* The Product must not be non-returnable (opened software, products customized at the customer’s request).
6.3. In the case of a manufacturing defect, the warranty terms shall apply.
6.4. The Customer is responsible for the shipping costs associated with the return or exchange, unless the reason for the return is a product defect or an error by the Store.
6.5. The refund will be processed to the original payment method within [14 business days] after the returned Product has been received and inspected.
7. Warranty
7.1. Most Products sold (especially computers, laptops, and main components) are subject to the warranty period specified by the manufacturer or its official agent in Egypt.
7.2. The Store specifies the warranty period for each Product on its respective page.
7.3. The warranty does not cover damages resulting from misuse, breakage, liquid exposure, or repair attempts outside of authorized service centers.
7.4. To benefit from the warranty, the Customer must provide the original purchase invoice and contact customer service to be directed to the authorized service center.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1. All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, icons, and software, is the exclusive property of codex-grp or its content suppliers and is protected by Egyptian and international copyright and trademark laws.
8.2. No content from the Site may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without the express written permission of the Store.
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1. The Store shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Site or the Products.
9.2. In all cases, the Store’s maximum liability is limited to the amount paid by the Customer for the Product that caused the damage.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
The Store is committed to protecting your personal data. Your data is collected, used, and stored in accordance with our “Privacy Policy,” which is an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
11.1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
11.2. In the event of any dispute, the parties shall seek to resolve it amicably within 30 days. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the Economic Courts of Cairo shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle the dispute.
12. Modification of Terms
The Store reserves the right to modify or change these Terms and Conditions at any time. The updated version will be posted on the Site, and your continued use of the Site following the modification constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
